This is a large Silver Plated Meat Dish Cover/Dome by Sheffield. It is made of silverplate and is designed to cover a meat dish. The brand associated with this product is Sheffield, known for its quality silver items. The dome has a gorgeous and ornate lidded handle. The dome also has a raised shell groove like pattern, around the top. An S, presumably for Sheffield, is engraved in the front of the dome.
 
Shows some signs of wear and age. Could be cleaned up with some scratches, otherwise in good shape.
